TREETOPS

This project is almost a decade old now but it’s an example of the longevity of the quality of our work and also how maturing planting develops a landscape space. The clients, who are involved in the creative arts, literally gave me a ‘blank canvas’ and they wanted a garden ‘designed by an artist’. The brief was to design a private, sheltered space where they could sit out of the keen winds of the north Cornish coast. It also had to be aesthetically intriguing from the house as the glass fronted living room on the first floor has a commanding view over the garden and beyond. A rich, tapestry of paving was achieved using a lot of reclaimed materials. The curves and flow speak for themselves.
